For anyone considering a 365 project of their own,
Dr. Seuss summed the experience up quite well,

What a journey
this project
this life
the attempt(S)
to get a decent shot of this:
So while this shot is still rather meh, I am very pleased with how the piece turned out. Live and in person, it is vibrant and fun. Up close, you can count each of the 365 seed beads on the tips of the branches. (Though, I'm guessing you'd opt to just take my word for it.) Mostly, I am excited that it represents the big TA DA of this often daunting project.
Thank you so very much for sharing the journey with me. Your support has kept me going and has added so much to the experience! I've met some wonderful people along the way and have enjoyed sharing this daily do with my loved ones.
happy trails! ~ misha
*standing ovation, whoops, whistles, raucous applause, confetti flying up from my hands as they clap and then morphing into leaves from every type of tree, floating slowly back to earth, piling up beautifully around my feet and rising fast so I had better type my comment in a hurry before i disappear into this magical rise*
ReplyDeleteYou rocked this project and the finale post. You brought a very high level of creative spark and maintained it through what must have been a slog at times (given that schedule of yours). You planted trees! You made tree babies from wire and love! You made me think. You made me laugh. You made me appreciate trees and YOU even more than I already did. These words of congratulations fall short and
*the leaves of every type float down and pile up as your commenter and friend happily disappears into their enfoldment, his words already felt and known like a mantra of bravobravobravo and yay*
Oh my goodness! Look what I just found! I came over here to reply to Amy's sweet comment, and then I just had to watch the Burning Man video again, and then I thought it would be a sweet treat to read the comments again, WHEN
Deletelo and behold! REPLY BUTTONS under each comment?!?! Way to go Blogger!
Wow.
So now, I can reply directly to this phenomenal comment you left, Rick. And while quite a few days have past since the end of this project, it is easy to remember what a grin you birthed with the bright and early morning treat of THIS. I may have rocked the project, but you, my friend, rocked the support!
Thank you so much!
Bravobravobravo and yay right back atcha!
Awe.
ReplyDeleteSome.
I love how (after my comment yesterday) you ended with a beaded tree!
Congratulations on seeing this project through to the end.
I need to come up with something spectacular to end my own project.....
I smiled when your comment about the beaded trees came in, Ange. Glad you smiled too.
DeleteYour finale was spectacular!
Thank you for sharing this journey with me.
xo~
What a spectacular and fitting end to such a beautiful, bountiful, creative, thought provoking, loving, giving back project!! I am SO VERY PROUD of you Misha!! And VERY THANKFUL to call you friend!! Love and light to you!
ReplyDeleteI'm very thankful to call you friend too. Am so looking forward to making more videos with you!
DeleteThank you so very much for all of the love and support ~
Love. Love! You have created so much here and extended that creativity into beautiful projects elsewhere! You are unstoppable!
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe not "unstoppable".
DeleteI stopped myself for a break from the daily with the end of this project and have rather quickly learned that without it I will slowly lose my mind! Guess that means I've come full circle, as making sure that I was waxing creativity on a daily basis was the point of this project. Still, I'm not up for committing to another 365. Instead, I'm just going to have to make sure I set aside time regularly to do what I do.
Amy, it has been such a pleasure getting to know you throughout this past year. Your project, your you are packed with such heart and soul.
blessings to you and yours ~

ReplyDeleteThank you so very much, Leslie.
DeleteI'm not sure I know how to express without putting my me into it. So happy to know that it comes shining through!
I really appreciate your support, and your many creative endeavors.

ReplyDeleteMichelle,
What a wonderful commitment you have to everything you do! You are a truly amazing, talented woman & I love you with all my heart! I LOVE this last tree, it is simply awesome. Continue to excel at all you create!
Love,
Mom
P.S. I wrote this as a comment on your blog but didn’t know what to select for a posting!!
Thank you all so very much! I haven't been around much since the conclusion of the project but I truly appreciate all of your love and support.
ReplyDeletehappy journeying ~<3~
I miss your project. Can you please send me some links to your work and latest creations? xo
ReplyDeleteAmy, that is a wonderful thing to hear. My works are currently here, and on the FB fan page, both of which you are linked up with, and I have another blog but I haven't been doing much that one and may move it to another location.
ReplyDeleteSince this project ended, I've been spending my time taking care of some personal projects around the house and haven't done much else. I do have a mailing list of folks interested in my work; every now and again I send out emails about upcoming shows, particularly interesting posts, etc. If you are interested in being added to that, zip me your email address and I'll add you.
While I'm not quite up for committing to another 365 project (though I did actually consider it), I am kicking around some ideas for another blog. I used to post on Myspace back before the folks over there killed that space, and I miss that type of sharing. So, I'm thinking about doing something along those lines, which was visual work mixed with prose and poetry. I'll be sure to let you know where I land with that one.
I have a show this summer where I will be in a local coffee shop for a month long feature. For that I want to put together some of these tree images in a unique way, and whatever I come up with will probably be posted here.
Thank you for this sweet thought!
