day 43 ~ What am I?

"When you are describing,
A shape, or sound, or tint;
Don't state the matter plainly,
But put it in a hint;
And learn to look at all things,
With a sort of mental squint."
~Lewis Carroll

What am I?

~ gold stars of gratitude for those of you willing to play ~

I've posted the answer on my Route 8 blog so that anyone visiting this post at a later time will have the option of playing along without seeing the answer immediately.

If you haven't already, I would love for you to post your thoughts in the comment section before you head over to take a peek.

  1. I have stared and stared at this picture and, as much as I want to, I simply cannot even come up with one guess! I do see trees though...

  2. I'm seeing a broccoli cross-section!

  3. Identical twin Australian aborigines throwing boomerangs playfully at each other through a cross-section of Borneo cauliflower? Do they have cauliflower in Borneo? Maybe it IS broccoli. Or caulibrocciflower? Wow, you sure are tricky with this one!

    I think I suppose that the ladies above this comment are correct. I also know I didn't cop enough quality Z-time last night. Either way, groovy and creative once again, Misha.

  4. Am I crazy to see some sort of meditating butterfly person in the center?

    No idea. No gold star for me today.

  5. Ha! Thank you all for making me smile throughout this busy day! I have thoroughly enjoyed your responses, am still laughing over the twin Australian aborigines...and now must reassure Meg: Nope. You're not crazy at all. I see two deciduous trees in the center, when I'm not seeing an eye turned on its side.

    Just posted a link to the "answer" within the body of the post.

    Gold stars all around for your playfulness and creativity!
