Rob's Rowdy Blessings
"May you eat an unfamiliar dessert in a strange land at least once every three years.
May you wake up and start dancing while you're still half-asleep.
May you spray-paint Rilke poems as graffiti on highway overpasses.
May you learn to identify by name 20 flowers, 15 trees, 10 clouds, and one extrasolar planet.
May you dream of taking a trip to the moon in a gondola powered by firecrackers and wild swans."
and one from Mama Nature ~

Your gondola could be powered by treemingos!
ReplyDeleteLove!
ReplyDeletefeel a bit quilty about my lack of tree and flower knowledge. Love the photo, could almost be the skin of a strange creature!
ReplyDeleteHa, Meg! Powered by treemingos and smiles like the one you just inspired with that comment.
ReplyDeleteHeather ~:)
ZD, me too. My flower knowledge is okay, but my tree knowledge is sorely lacking. Ironic, isn't it? Maybe I can use part of this project to finally learn to identify some of my beloved trees? Hmmm...
And about the bark, this is a strange tree all around, and one of my very favorites. Here's a post I did on this interesting specimen ~ http://365-trees.blogspot.com/2011/02/day-29-trees-knees.html
I hated it when they kept cutting trees to extend Taconic state parkway. We do need 365 trees planted every year or may be more.

Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMay the salt on your pretzels turn into diamonds.
May the magic that you bring be returned to you 8,000 fold, may your Cheezies be the cheesiest and your Sleeman's icy cold.
