One tree. Every day. For one year. This is an homage. This is a celebration. This is a hope
for raising awareness, and reverence. Symbiotic: to our very roots, and our branches ~
It is always nice to see that you match your photos with cute and meaningful sayings. How would you like to be one of the recipients of the "Your blog doesn't suck award." I am to give this award to five awesome blogs and blog writers and the first one that came to my mind and my daughter's mind were you and your blog. Hey who else but tree lovers? So go to my blog and grab your award. I am sure you will figure it out or check the blog of the person who passed it down to me. Congrats.
Oh Heidi, Tom Robbins is a Treat among treats. I met him, briefly, at a book signing once. My husband took me as a surprise. I was 9 months pregnant, bulging as if I would burst at any moment, and because of the long car ride to get to the signing in another city, I was wearing a ridiculous tent of a denim dress. I was quite a sight.
Mr. Robbins and I had a lovely moment of eye to eye connection, where his mirth over my appearance danced around the edges of his acknowledgment that I was "showing up" in ways less obvious than the bulge that was my ill dressed person + 1, and I will always love him for that. His genius is easy to love, but he walks his talk, and that is THAT.
Your declaration is more than enough. I'm going to forgo adding any award badges here and am sending you heartfelt thanks.
Clearly, I am behind in all of my blog reading, but look forward to catching up with you soon. Since tomorrow is my ultra-busy day, it may not be until the weekend. I'm looking forward to it!
Hey, I understand if you do not want award postings. I have a few more people in mind. I am going to check with them too beforehand. Being busy is good. I am too old for ultra busy, somtimes the days end up hectic anyway. Take a break whenever you can !
Love Tom Robbins -- always such fabulously, imaginatively, bizarre imagery, storylines!

So gorgeous, Misha!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful imagery here, Misha. I love the tree in the bokeh, an ambassador for living things.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amy.
ReplyDeleteAnd, thanks to you, Rick, for the new word. :)
