day 109 ~ still more hope

Seems to me that if you are taking photos and someone asks you, "Sweetie, are you okay?" that you are either doing something really right or something really wrong!

Yesterday, I was working at the school preparing for our first annual Art Show. I had "hope" and "joy", our two wire wrapped trees, out front to take photos in a natural setting. Because I was lying on my stomach on the sidewalk, an elderly passerby became concerned about my well-being. I had a good laugh and was happy that everyone inside was far too busy to notice my ridiculous posturing, which insured that no awkward photos were taken of Miss Michelle for posterity's sake!

Today is just as busy as yesterday, so I'm sharing something with you that we can all use more of...

still more hope

Hope your weekend is kind to you.

  1. I'm giggling at the thought of what your "rescuer" might have been thinking while you were in this position (hmmm, did this woman just break both her legs and is attempting to army-crawl to find help?). I do this all the time also; maybe we should get t-shirt's with "I'm not hurt/crazy/napping, I'm a photographer" printed on the back.

  2. A funny story and a very nice picture. Love that shadow, which reveals another aspect of the magical little tree. I have taken up some ridiculous and oft times dangerous-looking postures in the pursuit of a shot, and I applaud your willingness to literally get down and dirty.
