One tree. Every day. For one year. This is an homage. This is a celebration. This is a hope
for raising awareness, and reverence. Symbiotic: to our very roots, and our branches ~
I love these kinds of shaded overhanging places. A very sweet photo with riches of color. I took a few on the Toronto island a couple of days ago that prominently feature trees, and thought of my tree loving friend and her beautiful year-long project. Day 178, Misha! You rock.
Thanks, all. This is that favorite tree of mine and is one of my sacred spaces.
Rick, the shots you took are beautiful. That you thought of me makes them all that much sweeter. Have to say I'm a big fan of that crazy milk shot too. Cracked me up and I think it is safe to say that it is one of your best captures yet!
Beth, me too.
Heidi, those roots are called knees (something I just learned). Thought it was an interesting aside given your comment. :)
Another pretty one!

ReplyDeleteI would love to go to that space right now.
ReplyDeleteThat does evoke a sense of sacred space -- the roots below, all knobbly, almost look like figures praying...

Gorgeous! I love the trees' knees.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Angie! Me, too!
ReplyDeleteThe best part was showing them to my children and telling them what they are called. The wonder in their eyes was a special kind of treat.
