"You must be the change you want to see in the world."
~ Mahatma Gandhi
I had a wonderful walk in a dewy meadow and a quiet forest this morning. There were many of these tiny little butterflies resting and waiting for the morning sun to dry their wings. They are so small that they are barely half the size of my thumbnail! I was enamored. There aren't many better ways to spend an early morning, in my book.
Unless, of course, you are out planting trees. While I didn't plant any during my commune with nature this morning, I did plant an additional 33 trees in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil via The Nature Conservancy's reforestation program. This makes for a total of 51 trees planted from the Trees Please pendant sales. Thank YOU!
If you've been around the blog for awhile, you probably know that I am a Trevor Hall fan (remember The Lime Tree?). Last night, I found this video featuring him with the Luminaries. I think I might have to play it often enough that my children can't get the lyrics outta their heads. :)

I commend you for your vision, heart, and taste in music. Those 51 trees are real. Their life energy will provide shelter and breath for our world. This is a beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteI like to think I have fine taste in music, though I am especially blessed with a very good friend of mine who is a pro at finding wonderful new artists and who is kind enough to share! Big thanks to you for bringing Trevor Hall to my ears' and heart's attention.
ReplyDeleteThese plantings via Trees Please is a drop in the proverbial bucket, but every drop counts.
Beautiful photos Misha. I especially like the first one! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE! I took a pic of a moth today, too!
