"I dream of hiking into my old age."

~Marlyn Doan

"You need special shoes for hiking - and a bit of a special soul as well."

~Terri Guillemets

"The sun, with all those planets revolving around it
and dependent on it,
can still ripen a bunch of grapes
as if it had nothing else in the universe to do."
~Galileo

"I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the
leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream
of sky and for everything which is natural,
which is infinite,
which is yes. "

~e.e. cummings

Thank you for walking with me.

  1. What a beautiful post. The quotes are terrific, the chant music is apropos, and I happen to adore hiking and very long walks. Which leads me to these delightful tree varieties. They all speak, and for this day I am loving that black and white specimen. Superb texture! Have a great weekend, Misha, and thank you for this blog project of yours.

  2. I'm with you on the black and white one. It was the impetus for posting multiple versions. I like the happy orange, too.

e.e. cummings speaks truth for me and I think I may have to adopt that Galileo quote as my creed for attempting this blog in the midst of the chaos that is my life.

I'm getting antsy for a long walk. It's the sunshine and this long, long winter.

Now if only I could find the time.

Wishing you a wondrous weekend, Rick, and ever grateful for you taking the time each day to share this project with me.

  3. I love these. I can't decide which I like best. I do like the first bronze-y one. It reminded me of a woman dancing, or fire.

  4. Most of my tree paintings (digital or otherwise) turn out looking like women dancing. It's the 'me' in 'tree' ~ I think.

    Thanks, Angie.
