  1. Those are pretty big, unselfish dreams! It is nice to see that she isn't dreaming of a car for her sixteenth birthday.

  2. They are. She's still a 7 year old, though, as is evident when on a time capsule survey at school she answered this question: "If you had $100 what would you buy?" with...

I would buy a Jello castle.

    :D

Her heart is generous *and* fun lovingly creative.

  3. If a jello castle could be bought with $100 I would totally have one!!!! I love that answer!

  4. Wonder how much Jello $100 would buy? We could build it together. Might be tiny, but think of the fun.

  5. Awww, this gives me goosebumps. You're raising a sweet girl, and a drummer!

  6. $100 would buy 217 boxes of generic flavoured gelatin where I shop. But I'm in Canada so I think getting us together would prove difficult.. Plus my fridge is pretty full right now.
    :D
I'm going to tell my kids about this conversation, I'll be they come up with ideas/suggestions!

  7. Thanks, Leslie. Her daddy and uncle are drummers; she's more of a pianist, but who doesn't love a drum circle?

This whole night was so sweet. There was a Native American flutist / story teller and my daughter's friend (seated with her) made her keyboard debut. There's talk about forming a kid band. :)

  8. Ange ~ ha! Well, that answers that question and yes, logistics may prove a bit of a challenge.

Looking forward to hearing / seeing what your kids come up with!

  9. The girls disappointed me a bit. They thought that a jello castle sounded absolutely amazing, but that was as far as they went with it.

  10. Ah well, not even my maker of "the jelly bean slide" has pursued it much beyond the imagining, but who knows...the seed has been planted.

What does a jello seed look like, anyway?

    :)
